Boats lose their value faster than any other high priced toy you will ever own. This is not due to failure of the boat manufacturers or the marine industry in general. Surprisingly, it’s because 98% of boat owners do not properly care for their investment. You have made a major investment, it makes financial sense to take care of it.
Orange County Auto Detailing understands that boats require a special breed of maintenance — it is not just about making the watercraft look great on the water but also about preserving its quality. Polishing and waxing your boat at least twice a year will help protect it against environmental wear and tear. Boats are exposed to salt water and ultraviolet rays that can destroy the hull and deck – making it necessary for its proper care and maintenance.
A freshly waxed hull reduces drag, saving on fuel consumption. Regular boat detailing is a must to keep your vessel functioning correctly and preserve its resale value and to maintain your boats appearance. Orange County Auto Detailing will not only keep your boat looking great, but we will help extend its life and reduce deprecation. Need your boat cleaned before welcoming guests onboard? We will come to the boats location and get the detail job done.
Our professional team of boat detailing in Orange County offers a wide variety of service to keep your boat clean and well maintained. This will allow you to enjoy boat rides more often and for a longer period of time. Orange County Auto Detailing service for boat detailing is a two-stage process. First, we select the correct ratio of cleaners and abrasives for the surfaces of your boat and use them to clean away all oxidation, scuff marks, water marks, and discoloration. We get into all the little crevices and niches to detail every surface and remove all rust stains. Then we apply one or more coats of a combination of Carnuba wax and polymers for a high-gloss, protective finish. The finishing coat provides superb protection from sunlight, salt water, and environmental pollution, and turns your boat into a shining example of nautical excellence.
Boaters need to know how the sun, salt water and other elements can take their toll on fiberglass, gel coat, metal and vinyl. Boat detailing seals and protects your gel coat, extending the life of your vessel. Metal surfaces must be polished, removing corrosion and inhibiting future damage. Isinglass needs regular polishing and sealing to maintain clarity and prevent yellowing and clouding.

Upholstery cleaning, mildew removal and conditioning of all upholstery, leather and vinyl. Once our vinyl & leather cleaner has brought your upholstery back to a new-like condition, our vinyl & leather protectant will ensure it remains supple and protected against the UV rays and other environmental elements.
WAX & SEALANTS
All boats, whether gel-coat or painted, require some form of protection from environmental elements to maintain the boat’s top shine. In general, gel- coat boats require a quality marine sealant since the porous properties of the surface literally absorbs the sealant. This process forms a UV barrier, creates a smoother surface and produces a high shine. A final coat of marine wax leaves a smooth glossy finish. If a sealant is not applied, the gel coat will gradually disintegrate over time. As time progresses, a chalky residue will form that dulls the fiberglass surface of the boat.
WET SANDING
Wet sanding is used for heavily oxidized boats and is our last resort. If this step is needed, compounding and polishing steps are required. This procedure should only be attempted by professional boat detailers!
COMPOUND
Our professional grade rubbing compounds can bring back to life even the most heavily sun faded and chalky boats or jet skis. More damaged surfaces will require a more potent product and our highly trained professionals will recommend the best product for the job to produce outstanding results. Although compounding can be used to bring a boat back to life, it is recommended that all boats use a light compound once a year to insure that all oxidation is removed and benefits of the wax sealant are maximized.
METAL POLISHING
Stainless steel and other metal fixtures are often the finishing accents that make a vessel stand tall! Therefore, there is no point in having a beautiful glistening boat if the metal is dull or rusting. Our metal polishing service will ensure all metal fixtures are coated with a protective layer and keep your stainless and chrome shining! If you have a heavy rust issue, we can attempt to restore this with quality metal cleaner and polishes.
